This page outlines your rights as a consumer, our voluntary warranty against defects, and our returns policy to ensure you have complete confidence when investing in ProKast systems.
Your Rights under the Australian Consumer Law
Our voluntary warranty is provided in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). We cannot and do not override or limit these consumer guarantees.
Mandatory Statement:
“Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.”
Our ProKast Warranty – What is Covered
ProKast provides a voluntary warranty against defects in materials and workmanship under normal precast yard and construction site use. We offer a 24-month warranty for our precast concrete magnets and a 12-month warranty for our magnetic steel chamfers.
Product Warranty Period ProKast Precast Concrete Magnets 24 Months (2 Years) ProKast Magnetic Steel Chamfers 12 Months (1 Year) *The warranty period commences from the date of delivery.
What is NOT Covered
Our tools are built tough for harsh yard conditions, but they are not indestructible. This warranty does not cover damage or defects caused by:
- Misuse or Abuse: Using the products for purposes other than their intended formwork applications.
- Overloading: Exceeding the stated load or hold capacities (e.g., 2200kg hold force).
- Incorrect Installation: Failure to properly seat, align, or engage the magnets or chamfers.
- Lack of Maintenance: Failure to clean the products regularly, resulting in severe concrete buildup or compromised magnetic contact.
- Corrosion: Rust or degradation resulting from improper storage in wet, highly corrosive, or unshielded environments.
- Modifications: Unauthorized alterations, drilling, welding, or repairs made to the product.
- Normal Wear and Tear: Cosmetic scratches, scuffs, or minor surface wear that does not affect the functionality of the tool.
Returns Policy
Faulty Goods (Under ACL or Warranty)
If a product is faulty, defective, or does not meet the consumer guarantees under the ACL, please contact us immediately. We will arrange for the return of the item for assessment. If the claim is valid, we will offer a repair, replacement, or refund in accordance with your ACL rights.
Change-of-Mind & Non-Faulty Returns (B2B Customers)
For our B2B precast customers, we understand that project requirements can change. Change-of-mind returns are handled on a case-by-case basis under the following conditions:
- The return must be requested within 14 days of delivery.
- The products must be entirely unused, in their original condition, and suitable for resale.
- A restocking fee may apply to cover handling and administration.
- The customer is responsible for return shipping costs.
- Custom Orders: Any custom-sized chamfers, specially manufactured brackets, or bulk custom orders are non-returnable unless faulty.
How to Make a Warranty Claim or Return
To initiate a claim or return, please follow these steps:
- Gather Proof of Purchase: Locate your invoice, receipt, or order confirmation number.
- Document the Issue: Take clear photographs or videos showing the defect or issue with the product.
- Contact Us: Email our team with your proof of purchase, photos, and a brief description of the problem.
- Assessment: Our team will review your claim and provide instructions on how to return the item (if required) for physical inspection.
- Resolution: Once assessed, we will process your repair, replacement, or refund promptly.
