Product Questions

ProKast precast concrete magnets (also known as shuttering magnets) are high-strength neodymium magnetic units used to securely fix formwork to steel casting beds. They eliminate the need for welding, drilling, or complex bracing, significantly speeding up setup times in precast yards.

Our standard M2200 Magnetic Formwork Bracket provides a massive 2200kg of vertical pull force. This ensures the formwork stays perfectly aligned and secure, even under heavy vibration during concrete pouring.

Our magnetic steel chamfers are reusable steel strips embedded with strong neodymium magnets. They are used to create clean, beveled edges (chamfers) on precast concrete panels, beams, and columns without the need for adhesives, tape, or silicone.

Usage & Installation

It’s simple:
1. Screw the 90-degree bracket to your timber or steel shutter.
2. Place the magnet unit into the bracket slot.
3. Push down on the button to engage the magnet against the steel casting bed. It provides a perfect 90° alignment every time.

You use a specialized release lever (crowbar tool) to pull the button up, disengaging the magnetic field. Never use a hammer to strike the magnet to release it, as this will damage the internal components.

Care & Maintenance

Concrete slurry and debris must be cleaned off the magnetic surfaces daily to maintain maximum holding force. Use a scraper, wire brush, or compressed air. Do not let concrete cure on the magnets. For detailed instructions, please read our Care & Maintenance Guide.
